What I find funny is how everything is deemed racial these days. In Africa, we use the term monkey a lot, both in a derogatory term and jokingly in conversation among ourselves.

People get uneasy using the same term in a white community and are willing to go to court and sue for racial discrimination. Looks like we are all too willing these days to segregate ourselves further by being intolerant of each other's jokes and comments.
