All these, Vocal+, Medium, Quora, LinkedIn, Instagram, Flipboard, Sunstract, etc, are all third party sites. They are all the same, with little variation. You won’t know what Vocal+ will come up with, (when they are big literarily).

The only alternative is having your own website, publish on it, monetise it, drive traffic to it etc.
